JoVE Science Education now at UFV

The UFV Library has just started a new subscription to JoVE Science Education. This innovative new video database teaches fundamental laboratory techniques through simple video demonstrations.  We subscribe to two components.

General Laboratory Techniques exhibits how to use standard pieces of laboratory equipment essential in many experiments, as well as how to perform basic laboratory functions.

Basic Methods in Cellular and Molecular Biology demonstrates how to execute basic techniques commonly used in cellular and molecular biology.

To enhance your understanding of the methods each video is paired with additional video resources to show practical applications of the techniques and other complementary skills.

Family Day: Library Closed

Both the Chilliwack and Abbotsford campus libraries will be closed on Monday, February 10th for Family Day. AskAway will also be closed. However, the library catalog, e-books, and databases can be accessed from home as usual. Enjoy spending time with your family!
