Taylor & Francis Evidence Based Acquisition Program for 2022

The library is doing a new Evidence Based Acquisition program with Taylor and Francis. Students and faculty will have free access to over 33,000 high-quality academic e-books published from 2016 to 2020.  In December 2022, we'll decide which ones to buy for our permanent collection.

MLA Handbook Plus Online

 



We’ve just joined an unlimited user license for a new online version of the MLA Handbook.  Here’s some information from the vendor:

The cornerstone of MLA Handbook Plus is the ninth edition of the MLA Handbook, released in print in spring 2021. The ninth edition was created in direct, sustained dialogue with the instructors, librarians, and students around the world who use the handbook every day. A comprehensive reference work and textbook, the new handbook features

LIBRARIES CLOSING EARLY TUESDAY NIGHT!

Due to the freezing rain, the libraries are closing early tonight (Tuesday Dec 21).

The Chilliwack library is closing immediately.

The Abbotsford library will close by 7pm OR EARLIER, if conditions continue to deteriorate.

Library Hours Changes

It is the season for changes to the UFV Library hours!

Dec 22 and 23: 8:30-4:30
Dec 24: 8:30-noon and closed through to, and including, January 3rd
January 4th: 8:30-4:30. 

January 5th, the first day of Winter Semester, the library will begin our usual hours.

Library Hours -- Changes

Dec. 10/21 UPDATE: Library hours have returned to normal seasonal operations.

Due to the current weather and road conditions, both the Abbotsford and Chilliwack UFV Libraries have some reduced hours for the remainder of the week. (Hours for December 6th and later will be determined next week.)

 Chilliwack will be closing at 6pm Wednesday and Thursday night and will be closed on Saturday.

Abbotsford will be closing at 8pm on Wednesday and Thursday night.
