Book drops are open

Despite the UFV libraries being closed for the foreseeable future, our book drops remain open at both campuses. As we are quarantining books and do not have library staff regularly on campus, there will be a delay in processing your books. So, do not worry if you have returned books and they still show on your account!

Family Day Closure

Both libraries will be closed on Monday, February 17th for Family Day. AskAway, our virtual reference service, will also be closed. However, all our online library resources will be available for your use on Monday.

Closed November 11th

In recognition of Remembrance Day, the Chilliwack and Abbotsford libraries and the Askaway Service will all be closed on Monday, November 11th. However, you can still access many electronic resources through our databases and catalogue.

Family Day and Reading Week Hours

Both the Chilliwack and Abbotsford Libraries will be closed on Monday, February 18th for Family Day. However, we have many resources available online at any time!

For the rest of Reading Week, we will have our usual hours. So, stop on by! Full hours are available here.

August library hours and closures

August and the BC Day long weekend is quickly approaching, and that brings library closures and changes to the hours.

LONG WEEKEND HOURS
The Chilliwack and Abbotsford libraries will both be closed for the entire BC Day long weekend (August 4-6). 

ABBOTSFORD AUGUST HOURS
Due to decreased demand, Abbotsford library hours will be reduced for August. Starting August 1st - August 24th, the Abbotsford Library hours will change to:

Monday: 8:30-7:30
Tuesday: 8:30-4:30
Wednesday: 8:30-4:30
Thursday: 8:30-7:30
Friday: 8:30-4:30
Saturday: closed
Sunday: closed


CHILLIWACK AUGUST HOURS 
 Chilliwack library hours remain 8:30-4:30 Monday to Friday and closed weekends.


INTERSESSION HOURS
And during the break between classes (August 25-September 3) the libraries will be open 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday only, and closed on weekends and Labour Day.

RETREAT CLOSURE
The Abbotsford Library will be CLOSED on August 30 for a staff retreat. The Chilliwack library will be open that day, 8:30-4:30.

Canada Day Weekend Hours

Here are our hours for the Canada Day long weekend:
