Prepare for Finals at UFV Library

At UFV Library, we know final exam period can be a stressful time for many and we want students to know that
UFV Library is here to help! See below for more information about some of our services that may be useful:

Hours

Both campus libraries are open our usual semester hours during the final exam period – check our website before heading to campus if you are not sure if we are open (https://library.ufv.ca/about-the-library/library-hours/).

Study spaces

Depending on how you prefer to study, we've got space for you!

  • Tables and solo desks are available at a first come first serve basis
  • Library computers and computer labs
  • Group study rooms – must be for multiple people & only for 2 hours/day
  • PODS – solo study space that can be booked for 3 hours/day
  • None of the library spaces should be used to attend virtual exams (as outlined in our policy on our website)
  • Bookable spaces can be found via this link https://library.ufv.ca/about-the-library/book-a-study-space/

Calculators

We have a few calculators available on a first come first serve basis – we highly recommend you bring your own calculator and supplies for your finals but if you forget yours and are in a pinch we may have one you can borrow (please note supplies are extremely limited).

Supplies

We cannot guarantee that we will have writing supplies at our libraries – please bring your own pens, pencils, paper, ruler, notebooks, paperclips, erasers, and other tools you may need.

Campus Maps

If your exam is in a building or room you are not familiar with, check in with our staff at the main library desk and they can provide you with directions on how to get to the room you are looking for and a map.

Study Materials

Although in most cases the Library does not have the course textbook, we likely have other books or articles related to topics you’ve reviewed in your classes. Ask our friendly staff for help locating books or articles you would like to read to help you study.
