Libraries closed for National Day of Mourning September 19

The Chilliwack and Abbotsford libraries, including the AskAway virtual reference service, will be closed on Monday, September 19th for the National Day of Mourning for Queen Elizabeth II. However, the UFV Library collections include online resources that will be available. Please check our website for databases, e-books, streaming video, etc.

Labour Day Weekend Closure

The Labour Day Weekend is almost here, and the UFV Libraries will be closed all three days.

And that also means that the fall semester starts next week. Our hours will change, and you can see the complete details of hours for both the Chilliwack and Abbotsford libraries here.

Visitors to the Abbotsford library will also notice that the renovations are not completely finished. You can still access the book collection on the second floor and you will also find library staff on the second floor to help you with your research. The wait will definitely be worth it! Expect to find bright colours, new comfy and colourful furniture, additional group study rooms, and a makerspace area.

Canada Day Long Weekend

The Chilliwack and Abbotsford Libraries will be closed for a three-day long weekend from Saturday July 1 through Monday July 3 for Canada Day. We will open again on Tuesday, July 4.

Library Closures Friday, April 14 and Monday, April 17

UFV Library will be closed on Friday, April 14 and Monday, April 17 for Easter break.

Chilliwack library will be open as usual Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Abbotsford library will be open Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 16 from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
