UFV's Centre for Indo-Canadian Studies publishes its first book!

A Soldier Remembers chronicles the life of Pritam Singh Jauhal, a veteran of the Indian Army who challenged the Royal Canadian Legion for his right to wear his turban in legion halls.
Pritam Singh Jauhal is a decorated
World War II veteran.
Sharanjit Kaur Sandhra, coordinator of the CICS at UFV, co-authored the book with Jauhal and says this book is also about the challenges and dreams of an immigrant man and his life as a Sikh Canadian.  UFV Library has one copy and has an additional copy on order.  UFV Library would like to congratulate the Centre on this fine accomplishment.
