Indigenous Crafts and Raven-Making Workshops in the Chilliwack Library

We have a series of drop-in craft workshops and raven-making events scheduled for the Chilliwack library:
  • Drop-in crafts with Josephine, Tuesday September 25, 10 am-1:30 pm
  • Raven-making workshop Wednesday, September 26, 8:30-9:30 am
  • Raven-making workshop Wednesday, October 17, 2 - 3 pm
  • Drop-in crafts with Josephine, Tuesday, October 23, 10 am-1:30 pm
  • Drop-in crafts with Josephine, Tuesday, November 27, 10 am-1:30 pm

The drop-in crafts are run by Josephine Charlie from the Indigenous Student Centre. Available crafts include dream catchers, medicine bags, mini button blankets and beaded dragon flies.

We’re making 1,000 paper ravens to hang in the CEP atrium outside the library, as a wish for reconciliation. The Raven-making workshops are directly tied to the exhibit in the display cabinet outside the Chilliwack library, which has themes of residential schools, reconciliation and hope.
