What: A curbside-like service to borrow items from the Abbotsford and Chilliwack Libraries.
When: Abbotsford: Monday-Thursday, 12 PM to 4PM. Chilliwack: Monday-Thursday, 1 PM to 4 PM. (Please wait until you receive an email from us confirming that your items are
ready.)
Where: Abbotsford and Chilliwack campus libraries. Park your car
(for free) and come to the library entrance. Please follow signage and floor
markings.
Who: This is available to current UFV students, faculty, and staff and to
UFV alumni.
How long: Regular loan periods will apply.
How: Use the UFV Library catalogue to search for items and use the Place Hold button to place a request. https://library.ufv.ca/books-dvds/. You will need to use your student number and library PIN number to place a hold.
You will receive an email when your items are ready.
If you do not see a Hold button, that means that the item type is not available via this service.
Items from the
following collections can be requested:
Stacks collection (STACKS)
English Language Learning collection (ELL)
Curriculum collection (CURRIC). The loan period will be 7 days.
Just Received and In-Process Items
The following collections are not included in the Select and Collect Service:
DVDs - UFV faculty can request them via an email to circabb@ufv.ca and arrange for pickup.
COURSE RESERVES - print course reserve readings are not being made available at this time.
PERIODICALS - We will scan and email you single articles from our print collection of journals and magazines. Use the form located here.
REFERENCE - We will scan and email you single articles from our print collection of reference books. Use the form located here.
Note: For the safety of our users and library employees, our libraries are currently closed. Please remember that in addition to the Select and Collect service, the library has many online resources. These include e-books, articles (journal, magazine, newspaper), and streaming video.
