Enjoy the library at home with our digital collections

As many of UFV's courses are either fully or partially online, we'd like to remind students and faculty of the digital resources you can access from off campus.

How to connect to our resources from home:

  1. Click on the link to the resource you want.
  2. If you are off campus, you will be taken to a login page. Enter your UFV credentials and click submit
  • Students: student number and myUFV password
  • Employees: employee login and network password.

EBooks
We now have hundreds of thousands of ebooks available from a wide variety of academic publishers. All the titles are listed in our Books & DVD's catalogue.
You can limit your search results to ebooks by using the Resource Type limiter of "ebook" in the left hand column.

Online Journals, Magazines, Newspapers
Locate online articles using our Articles & Databases resources.  You can do a broad, multidisciplinary search using our Find Articles box, or choose a subject specific research database.

 If you don't initially see a link to the full text, be sure to check the "Full Text Finder" link as well.

Flipster
Read popular magazines cover to cover with our new Flipster platform. Titles include BC Business, Discover, New Yorker, American Scientist, ArtNews, Canadian Geographic, Point of View, Aesthetica, Motor Trend, Communication Arts, Room, New York Review of Books, and National Geographic.

Streaming Video
Our streaming video titles are listed in the Books & DVD's catalogue. You may also wish to browse the major collections we have from:
Films on Demand  - Educational films in all subject areas. There are new mobile apps for FOD.
National Film Board Campus - Documentaries, animated films, educational films from the NFB
Can-Core Academic Video - Canadian videos on a wide variety of topics, including Indigenous issues, health, mental health, the environment and much more.
Curio (CBC) - Canadian news and documentary content from the CBC
Criterion on Demand - Classic and modern feature films
Digital Theatre + - Live theatre performances
Docuseek - High quality documentaries, with an emphasis on social issues, the environment and social justice.
Sage Video - Nursing, Social Work, and Research Methods content
