Easter Weekend Library Hours

The Abbotsford and Chilliwack campus libraries, as well as the Askaway service, will be closed on Friday, March 30th and Monday, April 2nd. 

Both libraries, as well as the Askaway service, will be open on Saturday, March 31st.

Library renovations - the home stretch!

On Friday, March 23rd, the millwork for the study booths is being installed.  This will be disruptive to our students studying on the first floor of the library at the back near the windows.  We do apologize for the inconvenience, but we remind our students that there is plenty of silent study space on the 2nd floor of the library.

Indigenous Student Centre Crafts at Chilliwack Library

Join Josephine Charlie of the Indigenous Student Centre and library staff for raven-making in the CEP atrium on Wednesday, March 21 from 2 to 3 p.m.

Josephine will also be in the Chilliwack library for drop-in crafts, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 5. Craft kits include dream catchers, medicine bags, mini button blankets and beaded dragonflies.

More cookbooks for sale in the Abbotsford library!

Recently, some cookbooks were donated to the library and many of them could not be added to the Newman Western Canadian Cookbook Collection because they fall outside of the collection mandate.  The books for sale are in good condition and are being sold for between .25 cents and $1/each.   All proceeds will go towards building the Newman collection.  This time, there are many cookbooks from Ontatio, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia available to purchase.

UFV Libraries Closed for Family Day, February 12

UFV's Chilliwack and Abbotsford libraries, as well as our Askaway virtual reference service, will be closed on Monday, February 12, 2018 to mark Family Day. Please note that the library's catalogue (including ebooks) and databases remain available.

Askaway closing early today at 7pm

With apologies for the inconvenience, Askaway, our virtual reference service, is closing at 7pm today due to systems maintenance.  Askaway will reopen as usual tomorrow morning at 1oam.
