NEW RESOURCE: Mosby's Nursing Video Skills (4th Edition)

A partnership between Nursing Department and UFV Library, has funded access for UFV community to the 4th edition of Mosby's Nursing Video Skills (Basic, Intermediate and Advanced) series.


These high-definition videos demonstrate how to perform clinical nursing procedures by providing up-to-date, step-by-step instructions for the most important nursing skills. Printable procedure checklists and interactive screens of required equipment make it easier to learn and remember skills, and new animations show what’s happening inside the patient’s body. For each skill, NCLEX exam-style review questions to help you to assess your knowledge.

Find It Discovery Service and new Known Citation Searching

A new feature has been added to our EBSCO databases. Users can cut and paste a full citation into the search box. The database will recognize it as a citation and deliver exact match items to the top of the results list.

Christmas ....by the numbers

Statistics Canada likes to have fun with numbers and releases topical/seasonal statistics of interest (Back to School, Valentine's Day, National Aboriginal Day, etc.)

For some fun Christmas numbers see:

According to the “Eggnog and whipping cream” numbers, December sees the highest sales of whipping cream AND July the next highest…I can just imagine the bowls of sliced strawberries with whipping cream.

• Christmas trees by the Numbers (2016)  

I was surprised at how far down the list of exporting provinces British Columbia was. And I was really surprised at some of the countries that Canada exports to: Cayman Island, UAE, Thailand, Russian Federation, etc.

Sage Journals Online has moved to a new platform as of December 13, 2016. Linking to full text articles seems to be working smoothly now. If you encounter any problems with your own bookmarks or linked reading lists, please contact the library for assistance.
